Yea I would...No, Thank YOU for commenting on mine! Yea I would say I'm hooked now for sure. I am probably going to run 5 or 6 ultras total this year. The next one being the HAT RUN 50k in Maryland on March 29th. I ran the Rattlesnake trail 50k in WV last year for my second ultra(I do believe you were there as well) and would like to do that one again and really crush last years time. Aside from that, I don't want to look too far ahead, but I would like to do a 50 miler late in the summer/early fall.
Here's to an exciting year for both of us!erikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00921963362627198218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926806561408428497.post-78678927366992922582008-02-28T02:31:00.000-05:002008-02-28T02:31:00.000-05:00Way to kick butt at Mt. I noticed you spoke of the boy on the mountain bike who cheered you on and you said if only people knew what kind of effect they can have on others, even if it's just by simply saying a few encouraging words.
I was there running the challenge, approaching the marathon turnaround as you were heading back down. You passed myself and another challenge runner, you smiled at us and said "enjoy the top guys."
It may not seem like much, but that moment had a very similar effect on me and helped me get through the challenge in 7:05, my 3rd ultra in less than 1 year since my first. Thanks for being you, and good luck the rest of the year. I hope to see you again on the trails!erikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00921963362627198218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926806561408428497.post-55698279075523077522008-02-26T10:10:00.000-05:002008-02-26T10:10:00.000-05:00Rock and roll - you are healing and looks like you...Rock and roll - you are healing and looks like you are having fun- I wish I was there, instead in the bed sick with this horrible flu virus going around. A...Hey Annette, thanks so much for your kind words. Although it would've been great to have you racing the challenge (who knows what kind of time we could've pushed one another to?!?), I was psyched to see you run so well in the marathon, knowing that you are well on your way to healing and more super-fast times. When I look back over my best performances over the past couple of years, you were right there for almost all of them. How lucky we are to have one another to push both of us to greatness! Anne
p.s. I love the start line photo -- notice how happy and excited we both look, compared to the top men next to us! :-)Anne Riddle Lundbladhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13188648567508544360noreply@blogger.com
